It is not easy to suffer from a headache since it messes up with your concentration and mood. Of course, there are meds that help in relieving the pain, but sometimes you do not have one around.
Fortunately, there is a method that will remove that annoying headache. This method is actually acupressure which is a type of massage. It is performed on certain body points, and it helps in stimulating the meridians which are energetic channels.
Before you start, you need to know how to perform acupressure. First of all, you should relax and get comfortable. Use light pressure or circular motions to the specific points for half a minute up to one minute.
If you do the right thing, the headache is supposed to be eased after 5 to 10 mins. of the massage. But, if you do not feel a relief then you are missing a spot.
Here are the six points to ease your headache:
1. He Gu Points
Look at the back of your hand, between the thumb and the forefinger; this is the He Gu point. If you press this point, you will ease neck tension, toothache, and pain in the back.
2. Zan Zhu Points
These two points are situated at the root of the internal corners of the eyebrows. Take one minute to massage these points by pressure or circular motions. It will help you with your running nose, and sharpen your vision.
3. Yintang Point
Yintang is the 3rd eye which is located between your eyebrows, on the bridge where the nose meets the forehead. This point that helps you get rid of eye fatigue too.
4. Yingxiang Points
These points are located on the both sides of the nostrils. They are in line with the eyes. To locate them easily, find the small depression on the base of your cheekbones. It will contribute in opening your sinuses, ease a headache, and free you from physical and mental pressure.
5. Tian Zhu Points
These points are situated behind your head, in the area between the ears and the start of the backbone. Massage on these points lowers the nasal congestion, strong headaches and migraines, and ear or eye ache.
6. Shuai Gu Points
You can find these points above the ears, two or three centimeters from your hairline, close to the temples. They help in easing the pain in the temporal area and tired eyes.
This method of easing pains is effective and scientifically proven. The most positive side of it is that you do not need any medications to get rid of aches and tension.
